Поширені поломки твердопаливних котлів

No matter how expensive and efficient the equipment is, it can break down over time. To understand that the heating equipment is out of order, you need to know the main malfunctions of solid fuel boilers and the reasons that caused them.

breakdowns of tt boilers

Solid fuel boiler overheats

Why does the boiler temperature rise to too high values? This can happen for various reasons. For example, due to a breakdown of the circulation pump or if the equipment is selected incorrectly, so the heat generated by the boiler is much more than necessary to heat the room.

A solid fuel boiler will heat up until the safety valve is triggered by boiling water inside the system. In most cases, the boiler overheats due to an emergency power outage. To prevent this, it is recommended to install an uninterruptible power supply and a storage tank (heat accumulator).

Condensation from the boiler or chimney

The reason may be insufficient temperature of the coolant in the return pipe if the solid fuel boiler does not reach the temperature. If this malfunction is not eliminated, soot begins to accumulate in the chimney. The service life of the equipment is also reduced.

To prevent such a trouble, it is important to ensure that the water temperature in the return pipeline is not lower than 55 degrees. For this purpose, a three-way mixing valve is installed.

Resin formation on the walls of the boiler

The cause of resin contamination of the heat exchanger can be:

    use of low-quality fuel;
  • insufficient combustion temperature;
  • incomplete combustion of fuel;
  • lack of traction or air flow.
The most common causes of tar formation on the boiler walls are improper installation and improperly selected fuel.

Poorly burning fuel in the boiler

If a solid fuel boiler burns poorly and the fuel in it does not completely burn, it is necessary to check the draft in the chimney and, if necessary, clean the equipment. The reason why a solid fuel boiler does not burn may be the lack of draft. Therefore, if cleaning the pipe did not help, you need to increase the height or cross-section of the chimney pipe.

Pressure rises strongly

The pressure in the system may rise because the expansion tank used has insufficient volume or is damaged.

Black smoke is coming from the boiler

The reason why black smoke comes from the pipe may be the use of low-quality fuel or insufficient air to ensure high-quality combustion.

Too much fuel consumption

Excessive fuel consumption may be due to its poor quality. For example, it has minimal calories or high humidity. Other reasons for high consumption include:

    significant heat loss of the room;
  • incorrect choice of boiler power;
  • errors in the design of the heating system.
As a result, the cost of heating a room increases significantly. To prevent this, it is necessary to choose only high-quality fuel, insulate the building and check the system for design errors.
