Pellet burners
What are pellet burners used for?
Every year, more and more homeowners are switching to solid fuel heating, installing boilers with automatic fuel supply, namely pellet boilers.
There are many advantages of such boilers: from independence from rising energy prices to the environmental friendliness of such equipment and full automation of work.
Pellet burner is a special device designed for dosed supply of fuel (pellets) and its most efficient combustion in solid fuel boilers with automatic feeding.
What are pellet burners?
Automatic pellet burners are of two types:
- Flare pellet burners
- Retort pellet burners
The operation of the burner is fully automated and programmed in such a way that the fuel is supplied to the combustion chamber in a small amount. This ensures the durability of the device even under variable load conditions. Torch-type pellet burners are designed for burning pellets, lower quality fuel pellets and agro-pellets.
Burners are installed on the door of the solid fuel boiler, which is very convenient and does not take much time.
Retort pellet burners
Such burners have a bowl-shaped structure (cast iron or made of heat-resistant steel) with air supply channels, where the fuel enters through a special screw device. The bowl is located inside the solid fuel boiler, where the fuel is burned. The retort type burner consists of a gear motor, motor, screw, retort and deflector. The main advantage of using retort burners is the ability to use not only pellets, but also fine coal, sawdust, and wood chips as fuel. Their power range is greater than that of torch burners.
